Pastor: David Range

Dear friends,
Great news: Pastor David is now recuperating at home. Recovery will take a lot of time and energy; we thank you for your continued prayers.

LENT has begun! With technology fixes/updates done this week we hope your virtual worship experience will be clearer and smoother. Remember there are two ways you can watch our services. One is on youtube.com by typing in the search bar: Miramar UMC and then you should see the service live streamed. If you subscribe to our service through youtube.com you can set up reminders for the day before or 15 minutes before, whatever you like.

The other way to “gather” in virtual worship is through the Twitter service the same as we have been doing since March. We are thankful for our www.MiramarUMC.org website. Pass around the information so that others may join in worship by clicking on the Twitter bird icon on the home page. We will continue our 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. services (except when we have a fifth Sunday of the month 10:00 a.m. service.)  Please email your prayer requests for uplifting on Sunday by sending them to miramarpastor@gmail.com. It is best if you send them by Saturday NOON if possible.

Remember Sunday School is at 10:00 a.m. on Zoom so children from both services can take part. You may contact Marvia Aitken at marviaaitken@hotmail.com for the link. Our prayer meeting is online on Sundays at 7:30 p.m. and you may contact Marvia Aitken or Vinessa Edwards mamaness@bellsouth.net for the link.

Thanks to those who have signed on to e-giving. Special blessings on you who have dropped by for a short visit, keeping social distance, or to drop off your gift in person or to pick up the Upper Room daily devotional guide. This week, Monday through Thursday there will be someone in the church office from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. each day. Please remember to enter from the south entrance near the Pastor’s office. No other doors will be open for church business. The pre school is open but you should still come in by the south entrance because the north entrance from the parking lot must be dedicated use for the little children of the pre school. Please let friends with pre school aged children know that they can enroll the children in our pre school.

Looking forward to worshiping with you through the Holy Spirit.
Grace and peace, Pastor David and Pastor CJ

Call to Worship

*Hymn 61 Come, Thou Almighty King ccli #242496
1 Come, thou Almighty King,
help us thy name to sing,
help us to praise!
Father, all glorious,
o'er all victorious,
come and reign over us,
Ancient of Days!

2 Come, thou Incarnate Word,
gird on thy mighty sword,
Our prayer attend!
Come and thy people bless,
And give thy word success;
Spirit of holiness,
On us descend!

3 Come, Holy Comforter,
thy sacred witness bear
in this glad hour.
Thou who almighty art,
now rule in every heart,
and ne'er from us depart,
Spirit of power!

4 To thee great One in Three,
eternal praises be,
hence evermore.
Thy sovereign majesty
may we in glory see,
and to eternity
love and adore!

Be Bold, Be Strong
Be bold…..(be bold)………Be strong…..(be strong)
For the Lord, your God is with you
Be bold…..(be bold)………Be strong…..(be strong)
For the Lord, your God is with you
I am not afraid…I am not dismayed,
Cause I’m walkin’ in faith and victory.
Come on and walk in faith and victory,
For the Lord….your God….is with you.

Great Is The Lord
Great is the Lord, He is holy and just;
By His power we trust in His love
Great is the Lord, He is faithful and true,
By His mercy He proves He is love.

Great is the Lord and worthy of glory!
Great is the Lord and worthy of praise.
Great is the Lord; now lift up your voice,
Now lift up your voice
Great ….. is the Lord! Great ….. is the Lord!

Great are you Lord and worthy of glory!
Great are you Lord and worthy of praise.
Great are You, Lord, I lift up my voice,
I lift up my voice
Great….. are You, Lord! Great….. are You, Lord!

Majesty……worship his majesty
Unto Jesus……be all glory, honor and praise
Majesty…..kingdom authority
Flow from his throne, unto his own
His anthem raise
So exalt…lift up on high, the name of Jesus
Magnify…come glorify Christ Jesus the king
Majesty…worship his majesty
Jesus who died, now glorified
King of all kings

Reception of Tithes and Offerings
Online giving is available through our website www.MiramarUMC.org. On the home page the ‘Donate’ icon (a hand with a dollar sign above it) is located at the top left corner and on the right under “Contact Us” you will see the same icon along with “Donate Online”. Click on either location for instructions. If you need help call the church office at 954-989-4711 or call Pastor David. Thanks to all who have signed up for this. The regular tithes and offerings of the church are a great source of blessing.
You can also mail a check to Miramar United Methodist Church. If you have your offering envelopes you will see that the address of the church is printed for mailing purposes. You may also use a regular envelope and address it to: MUMC, 2507 Utopia Drive, Miramar FL 33023.
Just put your check inside, mark which funds you would like to support, put a stamp on and let the United States Postal Service do the rest! Or bring it by after the services, someone will be in the church for one hour after the worship finishes. We trust God will keep us strong.

Also, we have the option of giving by text! Use 833-931-1791 to GivePlusText and when you text any amount, by putting that number in the message, you will be prompted to register, then fill out the details of your name, address and means of payment, and the contribution will go in! If you enter an email address you will get an immediate receipt. It is easy! If you have an Apple phone you may also get Vanco’s GivePlusMobile by downloading the app from the App Store. You may also look up YouTube videos to show how all this is done.
Or you can drop by with your gift during the week. Please call ahead if you would like to come at a time not listed in the introduction.
Prayer of Dedication
One minute musical interlude while worshipers prepare their offering.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
praise him all creatures here below,
praise him above, ye heavenly hosts,

praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen

Prayer Hymn 520 Nobody Knows the Trouble I See
Nobody knows the trouble I see,
Nobody knows but Jesus.
Oh nobody knows the trouble I see,
Glory hallelujah.

1 Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down,
Sometimes I'm almost to the ground,
Oh, yes, Lord! Oh,
Nobody knows the trouble I see,
Nobody knows but Jesus.
Nobody knows the trouble I see,
Glory hallelujah.

2 Although you see me going 'long so,
I have my troubles here below,
Oh, yes, Lord! Oh,
Nobody knows the trouble I see,
Nobody knows but Jesus.
Nobody knows the trouble I see,
Glory hallelujah.

3 What makes old Satan hate me so?
Cause he got me once and let me go,
Oh, yes, Lord! Oh,
Nobody knows the trouble I see,
Nobody knows but Jesus.
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen,
Glory hallelujah.

Pastoral prayer and Lord’s Prayer
(To share your joys and concerns please email them before Saturday noon to: miramarpastor@gmail.com)
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven:
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory,
For ever and ever. Amen.

Second Lesson: Psalm 25.4-10

Sermon: This is the Sign

*Hymn of sending forth 399 Take My Life, and Let It Be
1 Take my life and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days;
let them flow in endless praise,
Take my hands and let them move
at the impulse of thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
swift and beautiful for thee.

2 Take my voice and let me sing
always, only, for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
filled with messages from thee.
Take my silver and my gold;
not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
every power as thou shalt choose.

3 Take my will, and make it thine;
it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart it is thine own;
it shall be thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour
at thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be
ever, only, all for thee.
WORDS: Frances R. Havergal, 1873 MUSIC: Louis J. F. Herold, 1839; arr. by George Kingsley, 1839 ccli #242496
