Today: after the 11:00 a.m. service the youth choir will practice for the 50th Anniversary, parents please allow your children to spend a few extra minutes in the front of the church.

Today: Blood Drive after both services. Please go into the Bloodmobile for a few minutes and help at least three people to lead better lives.

Tonight: Prayer Meeting 6:00 p.m.

Monday: 50th Anniversary Planning meeting 6:30 p.m.

Thursday: Choir 7:30 p.m.

Thursday: There will be no UMW. Next meeting Sept. 16 at 7:00 p.m.

Next Sunday: Joint service at 10:00 a.m., 50th Anniversary Celebration Service at 4:00 p.m.

Welcome to all visitors.  You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. Also the church has a wheelchair located in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who wishes to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. LARGE PRINT HYMN BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE USHERS.


If you know a past member or someone special or family and friends you would like to invite to our 50th Anniversary Celebration Service on August 22 at 4:00 p.m., you may still do so, by using the invitation insert in the bulletin.

Nursery News: On August 22, during our 50th Anniversary Celebration, our nursery will be staffed by teachers from our Preschool. If you have a small child, we encourage you to take him/her to the nursery so that all may enjoy the service.

50th Anniversary grocery bags are on sale in Fellowship Hall at $2 each.


Ladies would you like to be inspired, refreshed and renewed in Christ? Then join us in Fruitland Park, FL Sept 10 - 12 on a Spiritual Growth Retreat sponsored by the UMW. Miramar UMW is invited to attend the South East District Annual "Mission Sampler" to be held Saturday August 21, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Davie United Methodist Church 6500 SW 47th Street, Davie, and Fl 33314.

Prayer Concerns: Val is thankful for each day getting easier after her mother's passing, for Jeannie's mother & the healing of her neck & help to get her into assisted living, at Jeannie's birthday she praises God for the years of life and the warmth of this church, for the wounded soldiers and their families, for Nicole's healing after surgery, joy for Althea's daughter passing state boards, becoming a licensed pharmacist and running the whole shop, for Ray with heart problems, thanks for the birth of Michaela McCorkle, joy that Allison's aunt does not have cancer, for baby Michael to breathe better, Myrtle's thankful to be able to attend church & help for her challenges, for Natarcia help with sickle-cell and hip, for Faustin's back, for Dalma losing home and for the healing of her husband, for the family of the man electrocuted picking mangos, for the Salvation Army family starting their new ministry in St. Vincent, for Laura thankful she is pain free after fall, for Natalie's co-worker with cancer, Audrey's brother to recover from surgery, for her sister's family issue, that we might enjoy and protect the natural world, for Sam in Kindred hospital, for Fay's stepmother in London to die in peace.
