The UMW is having a Prescription Bottle Drive during the month of September for the Medical Mission to Haiti. You can help by bringing all your empty prescription bottles with labels removed and rinsed and putting them in the round containers in the sanctuary and foyer. Thanks
The theme of our Revival to be held Oct. 17-19 is “Believe and Receive” and we are encouraging everyone to think and pray about giving a testimony on one of the nights. What way has the Lord touched you? It may be a song or scripture or story of his grace. Please share it so that others can be encouraged in the faith and know that this Revival belongs to all of us. If you would like to be a counselor for the Revival please speak to the pastor or Joyce Hemmans.
The church is starting a tutoring program called “Study Pals” which will be for those in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade. We are hoping to start in early October and be open for any child from Monday to Thursday, two sessions each day, 3 pm & 4 pm. We are looking for those who can help with reading or writing or math. You do not need a degree, the most important gift is your time and dedication to enhance the work of the child in school. If you can help please speak to Jeannie Grossman, Stan Barnett or the pastor. We will have our tutor planning meetings Tuesdays, September 23 and 30.
Non-perishable food items to the pantry are still being accepted. Thanks for any contributions you may be able to make.
