Volunteers urgently needed to help prepare turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner, in our annual outreach event in collaboration with Branches. Last year over four hundred people were fed. Please contact Allison 984 483 3792 for more information.

The next meeting of Mayor Messam’s My Brother’s Keeper Program will be an informational session for those interested in joining the program and an update for those who have been with us since the beginning; parents and young men are invited to attend. Welcome to all visitors. You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you. We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back-parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing.

If you need anything during the service please contact one of the ushers, who will be wearing a multicolored stole/scarf. Please do not bring food or drinks into the sanctuary unless absolutely necessary. Thank you.

Prayer concerns from last week: for Kathy’s family and friends, Owen, Catherine and Troy, for all abandoned and persecuted christians around the world, for A.J. and Jeannie, for Sonia, Dexter, Alhea, Joan, Dr. Katie, Curtis, Sharon, Saahna, Nadage, the Green family, Danyel, Andre, baby Brooklyn, Denese and myself, Dorothy, as I work through some issues, for Karen Francis, Millicent Gardner & family and Rosemary Nicholas, thanks to God for Taron, Roger, Angie, family and friends, for Fay travelling back to Jacksonville, for Corkie, Riggany and Dawn, for Judith, Grace, Moriah & Sidney as travel to Minnesota for the funeral, for the people of the Carolinas, for William “Paul” Barclay as he continues his cancer treatments, for Paul Chapman recovery from surgery, hallelujah that Suzette Coulton is cancer free, for the health of Florencia’s nephew Alfredo and herself, for Judy Scotland, Darrell James out of the hospital, Liziette’s friend Marva who passed, for Roland and Phyllis’s 50th anniversary, for aunt Grace and Mom who is very ill, for the cancer meeting of the Umw coming up, for Keisha, James and Dorothy, and for all the other prayers asked for today but not heard during prayer time.
