Welcome to all visitors.  You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you as our guest during and after the service.
Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. Also the church has a wheelchair located in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who wishes to assist a person coming to a meeting.  Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. LARGE PRINT HYMN BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE USHERS.

The UMW is having a Prescription Bottle Drive during the month of September for the Medical Mission to Haiti. You can help by bringing all your empty prescription bottles with labels removed and rinsed and putting them in the round containers in the sanctuary and foyer. Thanks
Today you are welcome to attend one of the Bold Justice House meetings. After the 8:30 service breakfast will be served in the fellowship hall and then the discussion of community problems will be held.  After the 11:00 service you are also invited to the fellowship hall where a short time of sharing will take place as we seek to help define what we can use our “people power” towards.

The theme of our Revival to be held Oct. 17-19 is “Believe and Receive” and we are encouraging everyone to think and pray about giving a testimony on one of the nights. What way has the Lord touched you? It may be a song or scripture or story of his grace. Please share it so that others can be encouraged in the faith and know  that this Revival belongs to all of us. If you would like to be a counselor for the Revival please speak to the pastor or Joyce Hemmans.

The church is starting a tutoring program called “Study Pals” which will be for those in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade. We are hoping to start in early October and be open for any child from Monday to Thursday, two sessions each day, 3 pm & 4 pm. We are looking for those who can help with reading or writing or math. You do not need a degree, the most important gift is your time and dedication to enhance the work of the child in school. If you can help please speak to Jeannie Grossman, Stan Barnett or the pastor, we will have our first tutor gathering to plan during the week of Sept. 15.

All are welcome to Cokesbury UMC at 1801 NW 65th Ave, Margate 33063 for the program: “God’s Mission, God’s Song” led by Dr. Delbert Bailey on Saturday September 20 from 9 am to 3 pm. There is no charge for lunch as it is a gift of the UMW. Please see the posters for more information.

The UMW’s annual Cookie Dough sale will take place September 22 to October 10. We look forward to your whole hearted support.

Non-perishable food items to the pantry are still being accepted. Thanks for any contributions you may be able to make.
