Welcome to all visitors.  You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. Also the church has a wheelchair located in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who wishes to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. LARGE PRINT HYMN BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE USHERS.

 

Pastor David is starting a new course this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. created for those who would like to explore the meaning of the Christian faith. It would be especially good for those adults thinking of joining the church but it is open to everyone. The Alpha course has been held all over the world and covers these topics: Who is Jesus? Why Did Jesus Die? How Can I Be Sure of My Faith? Why and How Do I Pray? How Does God Guide Us? Who Is the Holy Spirit? What Does the Holy Spirit Do? How Can I Be Filled With the Spirit? How Can I Resist Evil? Why and How Should We Tell Others? Does God Heal Today? What About the Church? How Can I Make the Most of the Rest of My Life?

Request s from the Trustees: 1. We ask parents/guardians to please accompany your children if they need to go to another part of the building. 2. Please do not bring an item to contribute to the church until you find out if it is needed. 3. Please do not bring food, especially ice pops, into the sanctuary. 4. We have some surplus computer monitors (not flat screen), if you need one please talk Shirley Gregg-Leonce.

 

All are encouraged to attend the SE District-United Methodist Women's 5th ANNUAL Meeting is being held on Saturday October 30, 2010 from 9am to 2pm @ Norland UMC, 885 NW 195th St., Miami Gardens, FL 33169. Registration fee of $8:00 includes breakfast and lunch. Childcare is available. Registration forms are on the UMW notice board. Please give completed form and fee to Sis Jeannie Grossman no later than Thursday, October 21, 2010. Carpooling will be available for the event.

 

Cokesbury UMC, 1801 NW 65th Av., Margate, FL is doing a Mission Study on the Beauty and Courage of Sudan on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 9am to 3pm. There will be no charge for lunch as the ladies will be preparing salads and desserts and will look forward to a time of sharing and learning. recover from a stroke in a Scottish hospital, for Melba's brother Nelson and thanks for friends, Stephanie as she recovers from fish bone stuck, Carla acknowledges simples blessings and asks for prayer for interview on Tuesday and travels on Wednesday, for Audley's decision on treatment, for the family of the University of Wyoming student who died in car crash and the family of Chaminade school where he had graduated, rejoicing with Roy on 15 years cancer free, Faustin's procedure Monday for pain relief, for Shirley's sister-in-law's husband and all men to go to the doctor when they need to, for Ashanti as she moves on to her next home, Fay rejoicing in found money, for grandsons Nicholas, Alexander and Hunter and grandparents everywhere.
