Welcome to all visitors.  You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. Also the church has a wheelchair located in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who wishes to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. LARGE PRINT HYMN BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE USHERS.

The devotional magazines Upper Room and Pockets September editions are available on the back table. $1.00 suggested contribution.

Salty Service cards are in your pew pockets. If you have done at least one hour of service this week please take one out and place it in the offering bag. This can be within or without the church, any time you help someone else.

High School students (who could get community service hours) are needed at the Summerville Homes, a home for the elderly not far from the church. Help with crafts or other activities would be very much appreciated. Please see Stan Barnett or the Pastor for more information.

Calling Team Fish Fry to meet in the Library, Sunday, September 13, 2009 immediately after 8:30am service, to plan for the upcoming Fish Fry on September 18.

The Singles and Health Fair Committee meets Saturday September 26 at 5:00 p.m. All members and anyone who would like to participate please attend.

If you have a used but still serviceable computer tower, keyboard or mouse that the Pre School can use, please call the church office or talk to the pastor.

As we roll into the new school/church year perhaps this would be a good time for you to take up with a group. Wesley Groups are also getting back to study.  Stan Barnett’s (786 768-8906) group meets three Wednesdays per month starting this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., Kathy Kelly’s (954 483 5609) the Kumbayah group, meets every other Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Next meeting Sept. 23. Marvia Aitken’s (954 684 4381) group meets first Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Next meeting Oct.1. Roland Abel’s group meets Wednesdays starting Sept. 16.

BOLD Justice house meeting leaders will be asking you if you would be interested in joining with them in discussing community problems with a view toward seeing what could be done to improve things with the help of “people power” available through the large group meetings BOLD Justice will be having.

We are also planning for the Revival with the Rev. Ken Johnson October 9, 10, 11 and in preparation the Evangelism Committee is encouraging all members, if it is right with them (physical health-wise especially) to fast, that is, refrain from all foods or some foods, from Tuesday night to Wedn   esday noon, and to be in prayer in a special way for the Revival.  On each Wednesday for the next few weeks there will be a “fast breaking prayer meeting” in the sanctuary at noon for those who can attend. If you cannot attend please join together as a “spiritual congregation” at that time.
