Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. Also the church has a wheelchair located in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who wishes to assist a person coming to a meeting.  Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. LARGE PRINT HYMN BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE USHERS.

“Pathway to Joy”: theme of the 25th Annual Florida Conference Women’s Retreat to be held over four weekends, Jan. 23-25, Feb. 6-8, Feb. 20-22, Mar. 6-8, 2009. All women of Miramar UMC are encouraged to participate.

Silver Lakes Animal Hospital, 17780 SW 2nd St., Pembroke Pines FL 33029, tel. 954 441 1001, announces the 2nd Annual Blessing of The Pets, Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1:00 p.m. Donations will be accepted for the Humane Society.

The tutoring program for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders called Study Pals is beginning for those who need help in Reading, Writing and Math.  Coordinator Sharon Allen will be in the Fellowship Hall this week from 3 to 5 Monday to Thursday. Those interested in tutoring or being tutored, are invited to come along or call Sharon on 818-259-3930.

If you have not already done so, Committee Chairs, today is the final day to submit your budget requests to Finance Chair Kevin Ramsey.

The Traveling Basinet will be in our church during the month of October. Please bring new or gently used clothing, toys, equipment or anything for babies and toddlers to fill the basinet. This is a project of the UMW.  

The theme of our Revival to be held Oct. 17-19 is “Believe and Receive” and we are encouraging everyone to think and pray about giving a testimony on one of the nights. What way has the Lord touched you? It may be a song or scripture or story of his grace. Please share it so that others can be encouraged in the faith and know that this Revival belongs to all of us. If you would like to be a counselor for the Revival please speak to the pastor or Joyce Hemmans.

Non-perishable food items to the pantry are still being accepted. Thanks for any contributions you may be able to make.
