Events this week:

Today: Today: After each service, all those interested in becoming part of the new Pre-School Friendship Team are invited to meet in the Fellowship Hall after each service with the Pastor and Pre-School director. This will be the only time we will meet after the service in order to make this ministry available to all. We hope to organize into groups according to the gifts people would like to share. Please speak with Pastor David or Pre-School Board chair Phyllis Abel or come to the meeting.  Prayer meeting 6:00 p.m.

Monday: My Brother’s Keeper 6:00 p.m.

Next Sunday: Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. with the Birthday Recognition Fellowship Breakfast in between. All those born in July should sit at the head table. All welcome.

Looking ahead:

Sunday, July 9 after each service reps from the Broward Property Appraiser’s office will be available to explore how you may save money on your property taxes. Pastor Janet Horman and colleagues from Justice For Our Neighbors will be on hand from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for any who would like to consult on immigration issues, look up website: FLjfon.org

Welcome to all visitors. You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back-parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing.

Prayer concerns: Sharon Allen thanks for prayers, Mark Muniz for people in the service, Florie joy for Jonathan surprise coming home and for traveling mercies for the family the whole summer, Bettyanne traveling, Jennifer Turnbull for a friend turning 90 and a Godchild whose friend was shot, Jeannie for Stella, Marvin, Betty, Shirley & Virginia, for the Congressman who was shot and thanks for all the prayers for her in the hospital this week, Cherly Sotolongo for the father of my children diagnosed with dementia, Ina for her family, for stress and for Keisha, Maureen for fathers everywhere, Judith P-Okerson for travelling mercies for her cruise, Dennis Bent blessing to everyone here “alive & kicking”, for Pastor and all church members, Roland for all servicemen who died on the Navy ship this week and Richemar for the all people in the mall in Columbia that was bombed. Prayers for Pastor Range & Family, for people still affected by the bombing in London, for Willard Kennedy in the hospital, for Dorothy Lawrence’s granddaughter, Sherry’s daughter who died in England. Allen will be traveling to England, Lieziette grateful for fathers and all men who take care of others and especially all men of this Church, Marvia thankful for her stepfather Lester Montieth and for all single foster dads, Lorna Pryce brother Karl having abdominal surgery Monday, Bat Williams for family as he lost his brother Kennard Williams 2 weeks ago.  Autopsy was ordered so he doesn’t know when funeral will be, Jennifer Turnbull friend turning 90 and for the young men who were shot, Barbara Phillips whose friend Dawn of 30 years in has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, Wenham & Deborah Dorsett’s joy with their grandchildren, Annette James for great grandson Jamal James & friend in the hospital, Michelle Jackson for friend in England who can’t find her family, Pauline Boyer travelling mercies, Ken Dillon’s friend who is sick, Eula Romero for all the football and soccer dads, coaches and fathers  who mentor the boys, Millie Weller for all father’s here and in the world, Leyhanna for everyone who graduated and for the shooting in Overtown, Gio for all the terrorist  attacks and families in London, for Karl who will be having surgery this week, prayer for those who seek to kill and destroy and generally for all families.
