PRELUDE

*CALL TO WORSHIP

God is light, in whom there is no darkness at all.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

And this is the judgment,

that the light has come into the world,

and we loved darkness rather than light.

*HYMN 287                                O Love Divine, What Hast Thou Done

PRAYER

Loving God, we know that you seek the lost and wandering sheep.  May our worship today be the means through which many come to know you and to trust in Jesus as their Savior.

Gracious and eternal God, look with mercy on this your family, for which our Lord Jesus Christ was content to be betrayed and given up into the hands of sinners and to suffer death upon the cross; who is alive and glorified with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen.
