News from the Pre-School:

Open registration for the upcoming school year on now! Space is now only available for VPK and 3 year-olds.

The church is looking for some videographers/photographers to record our events for the website and a promotional video. If you would be interested in serving in this way please speak to Pastor David.

Photo directories are available on the back table for all who had photographs taken.

Anyone interested in seeing the play Frenemy, featuring ‘the historic reunion’ of Oliver Samuels and Volier ‘Maffy’ Johnson, Saturday September 2, 2017, 8:00 p.m. at Everglades High School, please speak to Allison Feurtado.

Initial plans are in the works for a trip to the Florida UMC Children’s Home in Enterprise and from there visit historic St. Augustine in Jacksonville. This will be a three-day trip and accordingly hotel and transportation costs will apply. There are package deals available but we need to have an idea of the level of interest before making firm plans. Please see Sophia to indicate your interest and for further details.

Welcome to all visitors. You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back-parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. 

Prayer concerns: For peace in our country, especially after the violence in Charlottesville, Althea thankful for another year & prayer for her issues, for all of us to become more aware of the mentally ill and how we can help them, Donna joyful the her son Scott is doing well and for test results, favor and mercy for Folasde’s endeavors, Virginia & Ingrid with medical problems, Karen & Dennis Francis, Millicent & Ralston Gardner, Rosemarie Nicholas, Curtis Bradshaw, Bettyanne for healing in the knee and her trip to Lakeland to help those through Justice For Our Neighbor, Glance family, Brandon Brown in hospital in St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica, Crystal Dunn, Own Wyman, Roger Pierce, Wendy Kelly, Mabel Bizzell, Catherine Wheedleton, Royer family in their grief, Christina in preparation for an exam, Patricia Mark & family mourning the loss of her cousin, Rene & Amber as they work on their careers, joy in starting a new school year, Angie giving thanks for health, Roger, Tavon, Nikkie, Stacey, Peaches with family & friends, peace, Nicholas Thomas to succeed, Ismael, Shmael, Shereen for grace & peace in family, Devone & Gio and all young people in our church, Flori joyful for the summer trip and meeting family, her sister Yvonne, Sebastian, nieces, those returning to school, Jeannie as she sees the ENT doctor, Betty, Marvin, Shirley, Doug Okerson to come home from hospital, Noah Brown as he helps the newest Wesley Foundation get off the ground at FAU, Zavier glad for his good grades, for Grace Okerson who gave encouraging words to Michele many years ago, help for kids going astray, Romine’s Dad who has new job, Quintin as he turns 9 years old that he will continue to love the Lord, Deb Gavilan’s mom and sister and visit, preschool, Bold Justice, Beth’s sister-in-law Yvette suffering from breast cancer.
