Welcome to all visitors.  You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing.

 

Please remember the Youth Concert will now take place June 3 at 6:00 p.m.

"Ways to Work" Car loans, is a new program launched recently in Broward county sponsored by our District United Methodist South Florida Urban Ministries and the Urban League (www.sflum.org). Please see the bulletin boards or talk to Pastor David (who attended) if you would like to know more about how to get one of these loans to improve your transportation situation!

 

The City of Miramar, in partnership with WorkForce One of Broward, will host their 2012 Career Fair on Wednesday, May 9 from 10 AM-2PM at the Miramar Cultural Arts Center located at 2400 Civic Center Place (on Red Road, north of Miramar Parkway). Several major companies have already confirmed their attendance and are prepared to hire immediately! For more information, please call 954-602-3816.

 

On May 20th the church will be honoring graduates of high school or any learning institution above that level. Please give your name or your family member’s name to Donna as soon as possible so we can begin making preparations to honor your achievement.

 

Joys and Concerns: Flori praising God that Jonathan is not going to Afghanistan, for Flori's back pain to subside, praise for Maureen's first grandchild Peyton, praise for Mazie's biopsy being good, for Andre and other students as they finish finals and seek summer work/internships, for Nehemiah Action and progress on better reading programs both across in then county and in our tutoring program, for tornado victims, for a good decision on Jeannie's mortgage modification, for Alicia and all the rest of Don Lopez' family upon his passing, Melba for her operation, Pam thanks for protection during her travels and for her mother Doris, for FCAT and SAT test takers, for Bettyanne's co-workers Kate and Riva and for her own healing--and a reminder that Relays for Life do change lives for the better for those suffering from cancer, for Roland's brother suffering a stroke that he will get off salt, for Christina who lost her daughter suddenly, for Marcia Gayle upon Fritzy's passing, for visiting shut-in's -- to have the right words, for Scott's tests to come back clear, for Rev.
