Welcome to all visitors.  You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service.

Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing.

 

"Ways to Work" Car loans, is a new program launched recently in Broward county sponsored by our District United Methodist South Florida Urban Ministries and the Urban League (www.sflum.org). Please see the bulletin boards or talk to Pastor David (who attended) if you would like to know more about how to get one of these loans to improve your transportation situation!

 

Saturday April 21 Memorial Hospital West hosts its 20th Anniversary Community Celebration & Health Fair. Please see notice boards for further information.

 

The Youth Concert scheduled for April 29 will now take place June 3 at 6:00 p.m.

 

Everyone is invited to Cokesbury UMC's Free Spring Concert Sunday, April 15th, at 7:00 p.m. in their Sanctuary. Choir Members of Cokesbury & St Vincent’s Catholic Church will be presenting "Lift Up The Cross". This will be a mix of original songs and classic hymns combined into a worshipful, moving, and powerful musical that celebrates the Easter story. The visuals accompanying the music are stunning! Free nursery will be provided. Reception follows the concert. Cokesbury UMC is located at 1801 NW 65th Ave., Margate (one block South of Royal Palm Blvd).

 

Sympathies to the family of Don Lopez who died April 11. His memorial service will be Saturday April 21 at 4:00 p.m. in our church, with a repast afterwards in the Fellowship Hall. Please remember his wife Alicia Jourdan-Lopez and all the family in your prayers.

 

The father of Dennis Bent also died April 11. His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 21 at New Horizon UMC with burial afterwards at Forest Lawn, Davie Rd. extension. Our sympathies and prayers to Dennis and his family.

 

On April 26, the night of the Nehemiah Action, there will be a bus leaving at 6:15 p.m. from the church parking lot to transport those not wishing to drive to the War Memorial Auditorium. We will return no later than 10:30. The church is providing the transportation.

 

Joys and Concerns: For Phyllis Hewitt who has suffered a stroke, for Cheryl's friend Lenny for the eyes to improve, Dalia happy to see so many here and happy she has her GED, Alan home from hospital, Martha's father Mr. Falcon, for Flori's care, for relief from pain after surgery for Bettyanne, for Ana Lillian's granddaughter, for Adam to safely return from Afghanistan and congratulations on his marriage to Alicia, Doreen thanks for being 75% better and for complete healing, for Roy as he gets eye surgery, for Lawrence Minott recovering from accident, for Paul's aunt Marjorie recovering from stroke, for Kim's family traveling back from Arizona, for grandma Joanne's knee surgery, for Nathan as he goes for another cancer checkup, for Enid's mother Gladys, for all students and teachers preparing for the FCAT, for University of Miami employees and a time of uncertainty, for Avis' family in need of healing, for Esther as more is done to help her eyes, for Joyce to get a diagnosis so that she may overcome leg pain.
