Monday November 6 BOLD Justice Community Problems Assembly (moved from October 23) at Village UMC (1001 SW 71st Ave North Lauderdale, FL 33068).  All your network members (house meeting guests should attend).

Thursday November 23, we will be working with Branches to send out up to 450 Thanksgiving meals. If you would like to volunteer please sign the notebook in the foyer or talk to Sharon Allen at 786 239 9131. Contributions gratefully received.

News from the Pre School: Learning about Food Day Oct. 24, wear creative outfits for Spirit Week Oct. 23-27, attend the Fall Festival Party Oct. 26, the preschool children will perform for the Pastor Appreciation Service on Oct. 29 at 10 a.m., you may give non-perishable foods to the Food Drive Oct. 30-Nov. 10 so that we may add them to the food collected at Harvest Thanksgiving that we distribute with the baskets, come and share with the children about your job during Career Week Nov. 6-10, schedule your talk by calling the office, the Book Fair Nov. 13-17 when you can help support the library by donating a book, or buy one for a child you love, Toy Drive Nov. 27 to Dec. 15 when you can bring in new toys to be given to the preschool students.

UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief is hiring people to work in Florida (Naples, Tampa, Sebring, Marathon/Lower Keys, and NE Florida.) Training to be in Lakeland Nov. 8 with hiring and training taking place in December. If interested please visit: flumc.org and look under classified under “Building Bridges.”

Welcome to all visitors. You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back-parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. 

Prayer concerns: Karen full of gratitude for husband Dennis coming home from hospital, Althea healing, Dakarai hoping to go to playoffs, Alia joyful for family surviving storms and praying for those with schools destroyed, Flori cousin Jenny’s grandchildren, Randy, Sebastian, troops, Barbara, family of child who fell to her death on cruise ship, Sharon thankful for donations to be sent to the islands, Jeannie joyful about A.J.’s new job, Virginia, Marvin, Kim, Beatrice, Curtis, Ina reminding us that BOLD Justice needs to continue to work for better nursing home care as her relatives may be evicted, Rick giving thanks for pre school book list that anyone can buy a book on from Amazon, Kathy as she travels to her brother’s funeral, Gwen as she travels to her sister’s funeral thankful that her sister kept working for the Lord until the end, those that mourn a 56 year olds death, those who need to know about breast cancer diagnosis’ earlier, Willard praising God at becoming a grandpa again, Amber as she goes for an interview to dental school, Clinton Taylor as his mother is near to passing, George Codner, the UM church that had its backhoe stolen, Beulah joyful to be able to work after so much pain, Laura to have pain dissipate, Helene’s brother-in-law and brother’s step son, Colleen eye and job interview, Roger, Tavon, Peaches, Nikkie, Stacy, Ruffus, Angie and family and friends, those suffering from fires or hurricanes, persecuted church, terrorized, oppressed, downtrodden, Dayron thankful for doctor telling him he is cancer free, Mabel Bizzell, Catherine Wheedleton, Kelly & Pierce families, Alean Stephens, for the family of Fay’s friend Ambassador Marjorie Taylor
