Call to Worship

*Hymn 559 Christ is Made the Sure Foundation ccli #242496
1 Christ is made the sure foundation,
Christ the head and cornerstone,
chosen of the Lord and precious,
binding all the church in one;
holy Zion's help forever,
and her confidence alone.

2 To this temple, where we call thee,
come, O Lord of Hosts, today!
With thy faithful loving-kindness
hear thy people as they pray,
and thy fullest benediction
shed within its walls alway.

3 Here vouchsafe to all thy servants
what they ask of thee to gain;
what they gain from thee forever
with the blessed to retain,
and hereafter in thy glory
evermore with thee to reign.

4 Laud and honor to the Father,
laud and honor to the Son,
laud and honor to the Spirit,
ever Three and ever One,
One in might, and One in glory,
while unending ages run.

This Is The Day
This is the day…..this is the day
that the Lord has made
that the Lord has made
We will rejoice….we will rejoice
and be glad in it..and be glad in it
This is the day that the Lord has made
We will rejoice and be glad in it
This is the day…..this is the day
that the Lord has made.

What A Mighty God We Serve
What a mighty God we serve!
What a mighty God we serve!
Angels bow before Him
Heaven and earth adore Him
What a mighty god we serve!

I Love That Man From Galilee
I love that man…………….from Galilee
For he has done so very much for me
He has taken all my sin
Placed the Holy Ghost within
I love that man, that man from Galilee

How Great Is Our God  (2X)
How great is our God, how great is his name
He’s the greatest God, forever the same
He rolled back the water from the mighty red sea,
He said I need you, won’t you trust in me.

We Have Come Into His House
We have come into His house and gathered in His Name
to worship Him
We have come into His house and gathered in His Name
to worship Him
We have come into His house and gathered in His Name
to worship Christ the Lord … worship Him, Christ the Lord.

So forget about yourself and concentrate on Him
and worship Him
So forget about yourself and concentrate on Him
and worship Him
So forget about yourself and concentrate on Him
and worship Christ the Lord … worship Him…..Christ the Lord.

Let us lift up holy hands and magnify His Name
and worship Him
Let us lift up holy hands and magnify His Name
and worship Him
Let us lift up holy hands and magnify His Name
and worship Christ the Lord….worship Him….Christ the Lord

Children’s Time

*Hymn 380 There's Within My Heart a Melody
There's within my heart a melody
Jesus whispers sweet and low:
Fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still,
in all of life's ebb and flow.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
sweetest name I know,
fills my every longing,
keeps me singing as I go.

2 All my life was wrecked by sin and strife,
discord filled my heart with pain;
Jesus swept across the broken strings,
stirred the slumbering chords again.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
sweetest name I know,
fills my every longing,
keeps me singing as I go.

3 Though sometimes he leads through waters deep,
trials fall across the way,
though sometimes the path seems rough and steep,
see his footprints all the way.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
sweetest name I know,
fills my every longing,
keeps me singing as I go.

4 Feasting on the riches of his grace,
resting neath his sheltering wing,
always looking on his smiling face,
that is why I shout and sing.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
sweetest name I know,
fills my every longing,
keeps me singing as I go.

5 Soon he's coming back to welcome me
far beyond the starry sky;
I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown;
I shall reign with him on high.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
sweetest name I know,
fills my every longing,
keeps me singing as I go.

Reception of Tithes and Offerings
Online giving is available through our website www.MiramarUMC.org. Click on either location for instructions. If you need help call the church office at 954-989-4711 or call Pastor David. Thanks to all who have signed up for this. The regular tithes and offerings of the church are a great source of blessing.

You can also mail a check to Miramar United Methodist Church. If you have your offering envelopes you will see that the address of the church is printed for mailing purposes. You may also use a regular envelope and address it to: MUMC, 2507 Utopia Drive, Miramar FL 33023.
Just put your check inside, mark which funds you would like to support, put a stamp on and let the United States Postal Service do the rest! Or bring it by after the services, someone will be in the church for one hour after the worship finishes. We trust God will keep us strong.

Also, we have the option of giving by text! Use 833-931-1791 to GivePlusText and when you text any amount, by putting that number in the message, you will be prompted to register, then fill out the details of your name, address and means of payment, and the contribution will go in! If you enter an email address you will get an immediate receipt. It is easy! If you have an Apple phone you may also get Vanco’s GivePlusMobile by downloading the app from the App Store. You may also look up YouTube videos to show how all this is done.

Or you can drop by with your gift during the week. Please call ahead if you would like to come at a time not listed in the introduction.

Prayer Hymn 375 There Is a Balm in Gilead
There is a balm in Gilead
to make the wounded whole,
there is a balm in Gilead
to heal the sin-sick soul.

1 Sometimes I feel discouraged
and think my work's in vain.
But then the Holy Spirit
revives my soul again.

There is a balm in Gilead
to make the wounded whole,
there is a balm in Gilead
to heal the sin-sick soul.

2 Don’t ever feel discouraged,
For Jesus is your friend,
And if you look for knowledge
He’ll ne’er refuse to lend.

There is a balm in Gilead
to make the wounded whole,
there is a balm in Gilead
to heal the sin-sick soul.

3 If you can’t preach like Peter,
if you can’t pray like Paul,
Just tell the love of Jesus
and say, "He died for all.”

There is a balm in Gilead
to make the wounded whole,
there is a balm in Gilead
to heal the sin-sick soul.

Pastoral prayer and Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven:
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory,
For ever and ever. Amen.

Sermon: The Spirit can appear in many guises, disguises, and surprises

*Hymn of sending forth 555 Forward Through the Ages
1 Forward through the ages, in unbroken line,
move the faithful spirits at the call divine;
gifts in differing measure, hearts of one accord,
manifold the service, one the sure reward.

Forward through the ages, in unbroken line,
move the faithful spirits at the call divine.

2 Wider grows the kingdom, reign of love and light;
for it we must labor, till our faith is sight.
Prophets have proclaimed it, martyrs testified,
poets sung its glory, heroes for it died.

Forward through the ages, in unbroken line,
move the faithful spirits at the call divine.

3 Not alone we conquer, not alone we fall;
in each loss or triumph lose or triumph all.
Bound by God's far purpose in one living whole,
move we on together to the shining goal.

Forward through the ages, in unbroken line,
move the faithful spirits at the call divine.
