Today: Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. with the Birthday Recognition Fellowship Breakfast in between. All those born in November are welcome to sit at the head table, United Methodist Men meet after the 11:00 a.m. service, Nuture Meeting in library after 11:00 a.m. service, Prayer meeting 6:00 p.m.

Monday: BOLD Justice Community Problems Assembly at Village UMC, 1001 SW 71st Ave., North Lauderdale at 7:30 p.m..

Wednesday: Bible Study 7:00 p.m.

Thursday: Children’s Home training in the Fellowship Hall, 6:30-8:30, Choir 7:30

Next Sunday: Worship at 8:30 and 11 a.m. with an invitation to light a candle for a loved one that you have lost in the manner of All Saints Day.

Looking ahead:

Sunday November 19 Harvest Thanksgiving Services at 8:30 & 11 a.m. followed by a sale of goods after the 11 a.m. service and the packing baskets at 4:00 p.m. Decorating will be done the day before at 6:00 p.m.

Thursday November 23 we will be working with Branches to send out up to 450 Thanksgiving meals. If you would like to volunteer please sign the notebook in the foyer or talk to Sharon Allen at 786 239 9131. Contributions gratefully received.

News from the Pre School: You may give non-perishable foods to the Food Drive Oct. 30-Nov. 10 so that we may add them to the food collected at Harvest Thanksgiving that we distribute with the baskets, come and share with the children about your job during Career Week Nov. 6-10, schedule your talk by calling the office, the Book Fair Nov. 13-17 when you can help support the library by donating a book, or buy one for a child you love, Toy Drive Nov. 27 to Dec. 15 when you can bring in new toys to be given to the preschool students.

The City of Miramar has $1,400,000 available for housing rehabilitation from various programs. If you are interested see the bulletin board or speak to the pastor.

Let’s visit the Florida UMC Children’s Home in Enterprise and historic St. Augustine in Jacksonville. Add your name and phone number to the sign-up sheet on back table.

UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief is hiring people to work in Florida (Naples, Tampa, Sebring, Marathon/Lower Keys, and NE Florida.) Training to be in Lakeland Nov. 8 with hiring and training taking place in December. If interested please visit: flumc.org and look under classified under “Building Bridges.”

Welcome to all visitors. You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back-parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing.
