Next Sunday: 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. services with the Birthday Recognition Fellowship Breakfast in between. All those born in December are invited to sit at the head table. All welcome. At 4:00 p.m. the Youth Group invites the rest of the church to roller skating at the Galaxy Skateway, 3737 Davie Road Extension, Hollywood, FL 33024. We have to meet at the door at that time to go in together to get the group rate.

BOLD Justice (Broward Organized Leaders Doing Justice) is working on continued support for nursing homes “Operation Spotcheck” and that each home would have a working generator in case the power grid goes down. We continue to advocate for more officers to be given Crisis Intervention Training so that they will be better prepared to help the mentally ill offenders with better solutions. We advocate for fewer youth and adult arrests when other actions can be taken, for example, civil citations. Please put on your calendar the dates for 2020: March 3 Rally, April 2 Nehemiah Action, May 19 Celebration.

Dear congregation, you can make donations to the church through the Vanco electronic giving system. This allows for regular giving to take place according to your preferences. You can set up your giving profile or have the church office help you to do so. Please consider this method of giving.

Welcome to all visitors. You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you. We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back-parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing.

Prayer concerns: Doyle Rutland as he is taken to hospital, joy in Aunt Jo coming out of rehab and thankfulness for Flori’s niece and family doing well, Pam Taylor in ICU and the decisions of her husband, thankfulness for the homeless court where each victory is celebrated and for improvements to our social services especially through our participation in Bold Justice, the families of those involved in mass shootings and to care for our youth so that they do not consider copycat violence, Ruth’s friend Miriam who needs healing, also Mike Stull and Rosanna Bell, joy for pleasant Flea Market and thankfulness for the opportunity to be the church together in fellowship and service and laughter, Stephanie McBride’s sister Kim Russell to come through, care in holiday travel, Haiti as it goes through a hungry time, Marge who lost her grandson and all who mourn, Edie & Bill, thankful for the great contribution of the preschool families to the appeal for goods for the baskets and all who contributed to the honor and glory of God, Everton and the family of his friend who passed away at a young age, Doryan as she gets back into pre school teaching after a stroke, Daisy Leslie in hospital, Louise Thermilus as she talks to her niece that she has not seen for many years, joy in the change of weather. Sonia, Brenda, Joan, Jenna, Pam, Sonia, Dexter, Joan, Sharon, Dr. Katie, Curtis, Cherry, Brian, Nadage, Pam Taylor, June’s mother, Francis, Gardner, Bizzell, Browne families, Catherine Wheedleton, Owen Wyman, Donna Leland, Pierre family, Antonio Bell, Geneve Marant, the oppressed, Madge, Iesha, Lorraine, Fay, Don & Linda Bates to find healing, Marceline’s daughter Micha as she looks for a job, also Lyanne & Ben, peace, love, compassion, tolerance, light in the world.
