Welcome to all visitors. You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you. We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. Also the church has a wheelchair located in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who wishes to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. LARGE PRINT HYMN BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE USHERS.
Save the Date letters are available for our 50th Anniversary Celebration Service on August 22 at 4:00 p.m. Perhaps you know a past member or someone special you would like to invite. Please take one of these letters from the back table and send it now in order to get it on your friend’s calendar.
Deadline for ads to be in for commemorative booklet is almost here! Please turn in your order blanks to Donna Simms or the church office by July 25.
Salty Service cards are in your pew pockets. If you have done at least one hour of service this week please take one out and place it in the offering bag. This can be within or without the church, any time you help someone else.
Stan Barnett’s Wesley group (The Seekers), will not be meeting for the month of July. Meetings will resume the first Wednesday in August. Roland Abel’s group will be out for the months of July and August. They will resume first Wednesday in September.
Mrs. Debbie Hopps, the SE District Social Action Missions Coordinator of the United Methodist Women, has agreed to be a guest speaker at our UMW meeting on July 15, 2010. She will be coming in at 8:00 p.m. Members please let us meet at 7:00 p.m. to get our business out of the way prior to her arrival. Her presentation will be at 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with time for questions and answers and fellowship after.
There will be a special Prayer Meeting/ Praise and Worship in preparation for the 50th Anniversary celebration, Sunday August 1, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. Please come and let us prepare ourselves for a wonderful anniversary
The Celebrate Jesus Mission will take place in Bradenton, Florida this July 17 to 24. Please pray for a successful mission and for Stan Barnett who will be attending and representing this church.
