Wednesday to Saturday Feb. 1-4 Lifetouch Photo Directory pictures being taken

Feb. 4 Southeast District Training at Christ UMC, 4845 NE 25th Ave., Ft. Lauderdale 33308 with the Rev. David McEntire speaking on “How does your leadership role help you live out your faith?”

Feb. 1-4 are the dates to have your picture taken for the new photo directory through Lifetouch. Sign up at the table in the foyer on Sundays January 15, 22, 29. Those who have their photo taken will get a photo directory and a free 8 by 10-inch photo but you may like to order more for sharing. If you bring a small bag of food to share with the needy you will get $5 off your purchase price. Please spend the 30 minutes it will take to come on one of the days and help create a beautiful book which will help build a stronger community of faith.

Youth Fellowship for Middle and High School students will continue on Sundays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., Children’s Club for Elementary School students will be held on alternate Fridays which started January 6. Next meeting is this Friday, January 20

Welcome to all visitors.  You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing.

Prayer concerns from last week: Florie thankful for Jonathan and sister’s visit asking for traveling mercies as they and Randy return home, those victims of airport shooting, Jessica thankful for support of church in loss of brother Jesse and for all those struggling, for A.J. Daley serving in Iraq, for Pat’s sister’s ankle to heal, hoping for a miracle like her return to work, Ola Duhaney whose brother Stennard passed, Ira and his father in ICU, Diane Gutierrez at the accidental loss of her daughter, traveling mercies for Grace Okerson, and Raverly Edwards as she goes to brother’s funeral in Jamaica, for all the students and their teachers heading back to work, Lovell and the decision about hospice, Juliet Henry going have surgery on the 17th, Jeannie to get interviewed for dream job, Annette James & family at loss of brother and for her sister-in-law who needs two operations on legs after fall, Kevin & Dina who lost mother, Joy’s uncle in hospital, Noah Logan to heal from stomach & back pains, joy in David and Quintin’s sharing about the things of God, Roy as he recovers, for the Wilson family, for the love & grace of God to be on Kana, Roger, Tavon, for the families of violent criminals, for Fay’s blood pressure to reduce, peace in the world, love for young people, Grace Byndloss & family at loss of aunt, for sick & shut in, Dean Stephens on dialysis, Karen & Dennis Francis, Margaret Browne, Mabel Bizzell, Rosemarie Nicholas, Ola Duhaney, Millicent Gardner, troops, job issues, Clive Henry, Ann Taylor in hospice.
