Welcome to all visitors. You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you. We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. LARGE PRINT HYMN -BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE USHERS.
St. Patrick’s Day Pot Dinner takes place Saturday March 19, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. There will be games, prizes, songs, dancing the Irish jig, Lots and lots of fun guaranteed! Please sign up for dishes you will bring.
There will be a meeting of the Ushers on Monday March 7 at 7:30 p.m. All ushers are kindly asked to attend.
Transportation volunteers are needed to provide rides to those who need to attend services and other activities here at church. If you are able to help, please call Johnnie Fitzpatrick at 305 625-8170 or 305 299-1308.
Confirmation classes continue from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Although especially designed to appeal to youth the classes can be taken by those of any age or folk who would like to explore the faith in a new way. The classes will continue on Sunday afternoons (except Easter) until the Confirmation Service in May. Please speak with Pastor David if you are interested in being a part of these classes. Please see the insert.
Offering envelope books for 2011 are available on the back table so please make sure you pick up yours. If you are claiming your contributions to this church on your IRS form for the year 2010 the IRS will require the contribution statement the church provides. These are being mailed out. If you did not get yours, please contact the church office.
Please come out and support the young people as they try to raise funds to offset the cost of summer camp fees, on Saturday March 5. They have planned a Youth football tournament, starting at 2:00 p.m. Come buy refreshments and help our youth go to camp.
VBS takes place June 13-17 this year. The theme is “Island Odyssey”. Registration fee is $10 per child and includes a hot lunch. We will need volunteers to teach and work in the kitchen. We also need donations for craft and food items. More information will be forthcoming.
