Today: Birthday Recognition Fellowship Breakfast in between services. All born in the month of December should sit at the head table. January 7 is our next Birthday Recognition Fellowship Breakfast and we need people who will make dishes to bring by 9:45 a.m. It could be a dish of your choosing, your specialty, or one of the traditional dishes that we have served: one full tray of liver, one full tray of kidney, half tray cabbage with salt fish, half tray cabbage without salt fish, half tray callaloo with salt fish, half tray callaloo without salt fish, half tray boiled cornmeal and flour dumplings (two dozen), half tray flour dumplings (two dozen)—if you will make any of these please let Pastor David know. We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back-parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing.
If you need anything during the service please contact one of the ushers, who will be wearing a multicolored stole/scarf. Please do not bring food or drinks into the sanctuary unless absolutely necessary. Thank you.
Prayer concerns: Gloria Murray at the premature death of her son Joseph Smith and Sharon Allen as she seeks to minister to her, Deb Gavilan at the passing of her father, Alicia Jourdan-Lopez thankful for shepherds/mentors in life and her mother coming to stay with her & safe travels, Ana Lilian for good health, Flori joyful about meeting friends last seen in 1980, Jonathan and Randy, the troops & their families, peace, love in the world, Devone Whyte and other youth going to college, Jennifer Turnbull thankful for the chance to give a Thanksgiving basket to someone near death and for her family at her passing, Teneshia Taylor traveling mercies, Richemar trying to balance life, Jeannie Grossman thankful for past saints, mentors, guides, for her friends Virginia, Betty, Shirley, Bill, A.J., Marvin’s family, Franklin traveling mercies, Ina’s co-workers Iris & Robin, Mabel Bizzell’s grandniece Cathy who fell and was discovered to have a mass on her brain, Pat Mark as she travels to D.C. with 48 students and 3 other teachers, the family of Amber’s friend who died in a car crash with her boyfriend just before their wedding and for the lovely legacy they leave behind, for Felix as he returns to Daytona, Leyhanna as she travels to Chattanooga, Kawaine as he goes back to Texas, Spencer thanking God for the beauty of life and having a job even if it is tough to work all the hours, for Geoff as he tries to recover, Jackie thankful that the family in Atlanta are well, Laura’s sister-in-law Dorothy and husband James, Hanna family at the passing of Betty, Catherine Wheedleton, Barbara Gabbidon, Alean Stephens, persecuted, downtrodden,Waymon Solomon, Ginna, Roger, Tavon, Stacyann, Nikkie, Peaches, Angie & family and friends, we are all thankful for the baskets we could give out and the way they touched families just as the turkeys and Thanksgiving meals did.
