If you know any person currently undergoing chemotherapy there is a cleaning service that provides free housecleaning once per month while they are in treatment. All they have to do is sign up and have their doctor fax a note confirming the treatment. “Cleaning for a Reason” will have a participating maid service in their zip code area arrange for the service. This organization serves the entire USA and currently has 547 partners to help these persons. Be a blessing to someone and pass this info along: http://www.cleaningforareason.org.
Please consider ordering a poinsettia and making an investment in BOLD Justice through the Mission Wreath.
Remember the UMW Christmas dinner is Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Asian Cuisine Restaurant located at the Northeast corner of Pembroke and Flamingo Road. Please call Val (954.394.0694) or Jeannie (954 558 8940) by Monday, December 13 so reservations can be made.
The Book Fair is open for Church members today. These books are ideal for Christmas gifts! Even if you do not know a child to give a book to you are encouraged to buy one for the pre school by looking at the "teacher's wish list" and donating one or more books for use in the classroom.
Pastor David continues the Alpha Course on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. created for those who would like to explore the meaning of the Christian faith. Especially good for adults thinking of joining the church but it is open to everyone. The Alpha, held all over the world, covers these topics: What Does the Holy Spirit Do? How Can I Be Filled With the Spirit? How Can I Resist Evil? Why and How Should We Tell Others? Does God Heal Today? What About the Church? How Can I Make the Most of the Rest of My Life?
Please remember you can dedicate bulletins to the memory or honor of a loved one for a minimum contribution of only $10.
