Monday: Nehemiah Action for BOLD Justice. Bus leaves our parking lot about 6:30 p.m., registration opens at 6:45, meeting begins 7:30 p.m. at St. David’s Church, 3900 University Drive in Davie.

Wednesday: Team meeting to evaluate Action 3:00 p.m. Bible Study 7:00 p.m.

Thursday: Pre School recital 5:30 p.m. Choir 7:00 p.m.

Saturday: Women’s Spring Tea Party, 6-9:00 p.m. Donation to local & global missions $25.

Bold Justice Dates for 2018:

Tuesday May 22 Justice Ministry Celebration

 

Welcome to all visitors. You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back-parking lot through the double doors. The church has a wheelchair in the back of the sanctuary for anyone wishing to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing.     

If anyone would like the piano in the fellowship hall please contact Pastor David or Donna Simms

 

Pledge forms are on the back table for the Save Our Sanctuary (SOS) Campaign, please pick one up to fill in and place in the offering bag.

 

If you need anything during the service please contact one of the ushers, who will be wearing a multicolored stole/scarf. Please do not bring food or drinks into the sanctuary unless absolutely necessary. Thank you.

 

The Birthday Recognition Fellowship Breakfast has continued with thanks to all who donated food, money and time towards the breakfast, and we look forward to doing it again next month.  All are invited and encouraged to come and share a continental style breakfast, supplemented with donated hot dishes. To offer a dish, speak to coordinators Maureen Chung (cell 305 469 2954 or mchung2@bellsouth.net) or Angie Gentles (at cell 954-549-5788) or Karen Francis (at cell 954-292-2724.) We need a coordinator for food contributions from those who attend the 11:00 a.m. service.

 

Did you know the City of Miramar offers it residents many social services? Adult Day Care is provided M-F 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Senior Citizen Services has regular meetings and excursions and offers Meals on Wheels. Youth & Family services provides utility assistance, individual and group counseling. There are ballroom & meeting room rentals seating from 50 to 300. Prayer concerns from last week: Deleene Walker, Wayne McKenzie, Lorretta Parris & family at the shooting death of her grandson, Louise Thermilus with the flu, Jonathan, Suzanna, Bettyanne, Rafael, Sheri, Jo, troops & families, ICE workers,  Heather & Trevor, Maureen & Peyton, Stephani as she achieved the Honor Roll, Maya as she made the National Junior Honor Society, Marsi & baby Cameron, Bill G and other caregivers, Dennis, Lincoln, Grace as she travels to an ecumenical conference in D.C., Judith to deal with leak in house wall, Jeannie health for future, Grandma Hyacinth Robinson as she celebrates her 90th birthday and comes home after rehab, Vinessa thankful to be retired in good health as she travels to Trinidad, Sonia concerned for abused children and the needs of the social services, Pat as she and other teachers cope with so many other calls in their time besides teaching, Jennifer & Milton as they travel to Europe, Catherine Wheedleton in pain, Mabel Bizzell, Alean Stephens, Owen Wyman, victims of shooting, persecuted & downtrodden, Tavon, Roger, Nikkie, Stacy, Angie family & friends, Gerardo Bianchi & family, Michael Chavez called back to Iraq for service, Ronnie having surgery, Mark & family, Cookie after fall, Sharon & Janet, Jeanne Special, Shick family.
