Welcome to all visitors.  You are invited to stand during the service and introduce yourself, or to have someone else introduce you.  We want to give you one of our welcome packs and therefore encourage you to fill out the card and tear off the badge, write your name on it and wear it so that we can greet you during and after the service. Please note that there is a wheelchair entrance from the back parking lot through the double doors. Also the church has a wheelchair located in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who wishes to assist a person coming to a meeting. Rest rooms for the disabled are available in the Preschool wing. LARGE PRINT HYMN BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE USHERS.

Today our mission offering is for the Annual Conference offering which will be presented June 10-12 in Lakeland. Our theme will be "Transforming the World by Eradicating Extreme Poverty" and  80% of it will go to the Methodist Church in Haiti to help them recover from the earthquake. The other 20% will go towards Florida Impact for the Partnership to End Childhood Hunger, a multi-year, strategic Ten-Point Plan to end childhood hunger in Florida. This group serves as an anchor around which more than 50 organizations--including our Conference--organize their work to end childhood hunger. Bishop Timothy Whitaker urges us all to give generously.

Prayer Concerns: from 4/11/10 Cathy Southwell’s neighbor Lorna with cancer, Grace DeFalco who collapsed, Verna Donaldson undergoing surgery, Ina McNeil’s family, for Gov. Crist’s decision on education, for the Polish people on the loss of their leaders, BettyAnne’s friend Martha’s aunt in hospice, Jeannie Grossman was thankful for Easter with her mother, Jeannie’s neighbor Robert needs healing, thanks Hazel Sheriff is making progress in hospital, Rosemarie Nicholas gave thanks for support during recent illness, pray for Iris Lake’s daughter-in-law, praise for Jonathan Orejuela’s new job starting but now his grandmother Rosa has died--traveling mercies for him, Sharon Allen’s daughter Nika Williams to stay humble as her career progresses in Hollywood CA, praise for Enid Gooden doing better and for her to find adult day care, for Andrea Nugent’s surgery, praise for Edie Range’s concluding chemo and doing so well, for Melba Smith’s brother Nelson to be relieved from pain,  for Melinda for a better job and better conditions for teachers, for Jannavette to keep a strong family and to not stray from the truth, for Sheryl to get close to the Lord, for Max to be able to go to school, Derrick encourages us to appreciate the work we have to do, praise for Liezette’s niece getting into Ithaca College, praise for Mary Jane’s granddaughter whose surgery showed no cancer, Carla gave thanks for our focus on the children in our midst, Marcia Gayle as she travels to Jamaica for an 80th birthday party, Audley’s praise for his parents visit and traveling mercies as they go back to NY, for cousin Ali to beat cancer, for Jane’s good report from tests, for Cosmo in hospital, Florrette’s sister Audrey after surgery, for Peter’s gall bladder surgery, praise for Cheryl’s daughter Tara having a baby, Shirley gave thanks for rain in St. Lucia, for Jack’s step son Raul to be healed of rare disease.
